Who we are

This site is operated by the Alpha Iota Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority in connection with our Centennial Celebration. We are not a commercial business. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

What we collect

We collect the information you provide during registration, including your name, contact details, phone number, email address, and pledge class information. If you purchase tickets or make a donation, payment processing is handled by CrowdChange, which collects and processes payment information subject to their own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

We also collect technical data about how the site is used. This includes the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, how long you spend on a page, the page or source that sent you here, your device type, browser and operating system, and, for some interactions such as clicks and sign-in activity, your IP address and the country it indicates. Sign-in activity includes attempts, their outcome, and any username you type, whether or not it matches an account.

We use this data to understand how the site is used, to keep the site secure, and to help members who run into problems. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

If you are signed in, this activity is linked to your account. Authorized Committee administrators can see it by name and can export it. If you are not signed in, it is linked only to a random identifier stored in your browser.

How we use your information

We use your information to create and manage your account, register you for Centennial weekend events, process ticket purchases and donations through CrowdChange, send event-related communications, and improve the site experience. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Authorized administrators may review member activity to troubleshoot problems, understand how members use the site, keep the site secure, and respond to questions or disputes about your registration or about your acceptance of these policies.

Third-party services

Ticket purchases and donations are processed by CrowdChange. By completing a transaction, you agree to CrowdChange's terms and privacy policy. We recommend reviewing their policy at their website. Beyond payment processing, we do not share your data with third-party services for commercial purposes.

Text messages (TCPA)

If you opt in to text message communications during registration, we may send occasional event-related text messages to the phone number you provide. Message frequency will vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. To stop receiving text messages at any time, contact us at admin@uclakd100.org. Opting out of text messages does not affect your account or event registration.

Data retention

We retain your registration and account information, including any uploaded photos and video, for as long as this site remains active. This site will be decommissioned no later than June 22, 2027, at which point all such information will be permanently deleted or anonymized. A limited record confirming your registration and the date you accepted these policies may be retained separately for up to two years following the Centennial event, for legal and safety-related purposes tied to Event participation. You may request earlier deletion of your information at any time (see Your Rights below).

Activity records described in "What we collect" are kept until the site is decommissioned, which will be no later than June 22, 2027. At that point they are permanently deleted. We do not keep them afterward.

Your rights

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know: what personal information we have collected about you
• Right to delete: your personal information from our records
• Right to opt out of sale: we do not sell your personal information to third parties

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@uclakd100.org. We will respond to verified requests within 45 days.

Your right to know and your right to delete include activity records linked to your account. To request deletion of your account, contact us at admin@uclakd100.org. When an administrator deletes your account, we remove the link between your account and your past activity. The activity records themselves are deleted at decommission, as described in "Data retention" above.

Cookies

This site uses essential cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

To understand how the site is used, we also store a random identifier in your browser's local storage so we can recognize repeat visits, and a session identifier that resets after a period of inactivity. These are not cookies, but they work in a similar way. You can remove them by clearing your browser's site data. Clearing them does not delete records we have already collected.

This site does not currently offer a way to opt out of this analytics.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page.
